MusicFEST is Alpha Chapter's annual fundraiser to raise money for our scholarship. Open to any NC State student or group, the fundraiser is set up as a music talent competition, giving performers a chance to show off their talents and possibly win some prizes. It encourages NCSU students to use their musical talents, and raises awareness of the existence of music on our campus. The competition is judged by a panel of three musicians, usually NCSU Music Department faculty and/or honored guests.
Any musician is welcome to compete! From punk bands to jazz bands to singers, we welcome any genuine music act to enter by emailing Siarra Dickey at sydickey
gmail.com. For example, can't play an instrument or arrange for an accompanist? No problem! Just bring a CD with your accompaniment on it and sing to your heart's content.
